Let's cook then we can eat!!
The heart of the house is the kitchen. This is where the cooking happens. This is where we eat when we have no guests and this is where the guests usually end up having breakfast even though the dining room table is laid and ready....
...in the winter the kitchen fire is always burning and is often used for grilling a Fiorentina steak and making bruschetta on the Tuscan grill...
Cooking classes are tailored to the individual or group's wishes and can be a day or two, or a week long. The menus are discussed with Jenny often in advance of your arrival. Dishes cooked are usually determined by what fresh ingredients are in season and available in one of the several local village markets. A cappucino and brioche at the local bar upon arrival at the market, seeing what looks good and planning the meal is an important part of the whole cooking experience. Whether vegetarian or meat eater, from making fresh pasta or a perfect winter soup, to poaching the perfect egg with home made chutney and bruschetta on the hand made toasting plate from the local iron monger, cooking with Jenny in her fabulous kitchen is a life lesson in mastering la dolce vita.
